our unsung heroes who make up NE1’s Rapid Response Street clean Teams are busy keeping the NE1 postcode district (Newcastle City Centre) clean and tidy seven days a week the lads are out from 05:00 no matter what the weather.
Tackling graffiti is one of the jobs which falls under their remit, below is an example of a recent project which we tackled at the Central Hotel in Newcastle. For such large scale graffiti removal projects the affected areas have to be pre treated with a specialist paint softener from our preferred supplier and then rinsed off using cold water under pressure, the results speak for themselves.
The prompt reporting and removal of graffiti can be key to its successful, total removal. There are many methods available for graffiti removal and each one can be specific and case sensitive, what medium for example? Spray paint? Gloss paint? Marker pen? On what surface? Art stone, textured brick, engineered brick, sandstone, glass, etc? Each combination can offer up a different solution for removal, in some cases pick the wrong solution and you can make problem even worse.
Remember, failing to report graffiti early not only jeopardises the chance of 100% removal, it can and will almost certainly become a magnate for further tags.
