LEADING OUR CLEANING INDUSTRY FOR 30 YEARS IN THE NORTH EAST

In 1992, a young(er) Frazer Venters took his experience working offshore to set up a specialist residential window cleaning business. A can-do attitude and pioneering spirit helped the company develop a reputation for quality, leading to national and international work on a diverse range of projects, all approached with confidence and an emphasis on service.

When I first started Window Cleaning, Residential Houses in North Tyneside, The Tyne Valley and Northumberland were my training ground.

All ladder work and the preferred tools of the trade at that time (over 30 years ago) which were generally speaking 14” T Bar and mop applicator, squeegee (my personal choice was 12” blade for Residential) Grade 1 and 2 scrim cloth, chamois leather for leaded windows, rectangular bucket, safety scraper and a range of ladders.  Most lads made do with a set of 3.5m double extensions.  These are rarely to be found or seen nowadays.  The window cleaner’s denim jerkin with PVC shoulder reinforcements.  Double, deep pockets either side, one for sill cloths and one for dry detailing scrim cloth.

I have to say there is nothing quite like cleaning windows with traditional hand tools – and nothing quite as intolerable as a badly cleaned window either.

I was once an instructor for The British Window Cleaning Academy (BWCA).  My ethos is in reflection to Window Cleaning precisely that our product at the end of the day should be clean glass, No, Immaculate Glass.  This is achieved and delivered in many ways here at ISIS Facility Services and something I hopefully deeply instilled into the many students which passed through our training scheme.
