TRAINING COURSE: Safe Roof Access / Radio Frequency Awareness

A one-day course comprising of classroom and practical elements. This course is intended for operatives who access flat roof working areas, where fall prevention or protection requirements may be necessary. The syllabus includes the information that is essential to comply with the regulatory framework in place when working at height, and includes a practical training element in a safe in-house environment.

The content of the course includes:

• Statutory regulations
• Fall prevention and control measures
• Types of fall protection equipment
• Signing and guarding
• Equipment working categories
• Associated working hazards
• Non-ionising radiation
• End-user equipment inspection

The practical element of the course includes harness fitting, use of intermediate attachments and anchor points in a roof top environment.

TRAINING COURSE: Management of Work at Height

This is a one-day course for Managers and Supervisors of those who work at height, either employees or contractors. The information provided gives the basis of what is required to comply with the regulatory framework in place when working in this environment. This is achieved by giving a guide through the regulations in place for all who have responsibilities for the safety and welfare for those who work at height.

Topics that are covered in the course syllabus include the legal requirements of all those concerned with the working process, the subject of height specific risk assessments, hierarchy of control measures required when working at height, selection and subsequent maintenance of fall protection equipment and monitoring the system. Other topics include the requirements for training personnel using fall protection equipment, end user inspection, appointed person inspection, maintenance and replacement of F.P.E. along with other mandatory requirements of the regulations.

TRAINING COURSE: F.P.E. Equipment Inspector Course

All Fall Protection Equipment (FPE) must be inspected before use by the end user and inspected and recorded by a competent person. This course is intended for personnel whose responsibilities include the detailed inspection of Fall Protection Equipment as the appointed person. The aim is to provide the skills required to address and undertake such inspections, record the relevant findings and know what actions are to be taken upon completion. In order to achieve this objective the training syllabus has both theoretical and practical sessions.

Theoretical session includes; the legislative requirements European equipment manufacturing standards identification and product marking inspection and fault reporting maintenance and replacement schedules

Practical session includes;

• Hands-on equipment examination and inspection
• Variety of types of fall protection equipment logging procedures
• Identification of equipment that is unfit for use
• How to condemn and fault reporting systems written assessment

Equipment inspection is a requirement!

TRAINING COURSE: Harness Appreciation

A classroom based course intended for personnel who have basic fall protection requirements. This course covers the regulatory requirements, end-user equipment inspection, harness fitting, intermediate attachments and anchor points.
